A fully-guided tour with Caroline Sharkey of Caroline Sharkey Textiles as your tutor and Jacky Wyatt from Wacky Jacky’s Textiles as your host.
Caroline shares her passion for textiles, colours, and creativity through this retreat.
You will learn new ideas and techniques to enhance your textile arts, with a twist that incorporates a beautiful embellishing techniques by Caroline and your individual style.
Caroline’s teaching styles and approach to textile will ensure so much fun while creating!
She will teach you how to chop your fabrics into small confettis correctly, and then mix the colours and textures to create beautiful new fabrics. She uses raw edge applique and thread painting to enhance these surfaces, and she will take you through her style of textile art and how to choose and use your fabrics.
One of the mornings will be spent shopping for fabrics, threads and embellishments that would be ideal for your wall hanging.

Please be aware that the first day of your retreat and the last day of your retreat are travel days. For example, this retreat starts on 8 to 19 July 2024, which means 8 July is the day you fly in, and 19 July is the day you fly out.
Please aim to land in Bali early afternoon on your first day, and exit Bali in the early evening / late night on the last day.
If your flight is out of these times, an AUD$45 (per car) transfer fee is applicable.
If you wish to fly in earlier we will pick you up from the airport on your arrival and bring you to the hotel in Candidasa (and book extra nights for you – at your cost). This service is an additional AUD$45 per car. We can also pick you up on the first day from a hotel that you have booked yourself (within Kuta, Legian, or Sanur within the above times) – as we will be on the way to the airport, and can stop in and pick you up.
