(3 SPOTS LEFT) Amazing Bali Artisan Batik Retreat with Kim Oleson

  • Wacky Jacky's Textiles Jalan Raya Candidasa Bali Indonesia (map)

LEARN NEW AND EXCITING SKILLS, AS YOU EXPLORE AND ENJOY THE TROPICS

FOUR SPOTS LEFT. BOOK NOW BEFORE IT’S GONE!

A fully-guided tour with Kim Oleson from Quiltaholics Anonymous as your tutor and Jacky Wyatt from Wacky Jacky’s Textiles as your host.

Kim, a fiber artist, longarmer and award winning quilter, has been quilting for over 25 years and has taught sewing, quilting and fiber arts for over 15 years. In 2023, her quilt was shown in the Houston’s International Quilt Show because of its intricacy and beauty!

You will spend 5 days with Kim in relaxing thread-play, learning the beautiful art of traditional Hawaiian quilting, an easy batik reverse appliqué/batik raw edge technique and Boro-inspired embellishments.

In the traditional Hawaiian style, you will make a mug rug using Jacky’s beautiful batiks. You will have a choice of a tote bag or a crossbody bag for the reverse appliqué project, using a batik that you will design and print yourself at a batik factory. You will design your own piece at an indigo batik factory and embellish it with Boro-inspired techniques. You have the option of making a cushion cover (pillow cover), a table runner or a sewing tools case.
