Meet the Team

Wayan

Wayan and I have known each other for 32 years, and she is literally my trusted sidekick in running the retreat and the Batik Store.
Made

Made has been a part of the Wacky Jacky’s family for the past 14 years. She has such amazing hands with textiles.
Sani

Sani has been a part of the family ever since she was 18. She now has one son, and another bun on the way.
Ketut

The youngest team member is great behind the computer. She and Sani work together to keep my online Batik Store up-to-date.
Komang

Komang is the latest joiner of the family. She has a warm and bright personality, which will definitely make your day!
Lili the Busybody

She’s just… Woof woof.
Honey

Honey is the latest addition to our family. A rescue from Candidasa street, the little girl can be both feisty and a scaredy-cat - oops, I meant dog. 😛

Our story

Wacky Jacky’s Textile started off with a petite batik store in the heart of Candidasa in Bali nearly 13 years ago. Jacky came all the way from Brisbane to channel her love of batik and textiles, and Bali is the best place to find the highest quality, and prettiest batik fabrics at reasonable prices.

As time went by, her shop began to grow. Jacky, Wayan, and the Wacky Jacky’s team have also begun to organise batik and textile trips to share their love of batik, textile, quilting, and travelling.

They gather likeminded ladies to get all creative with their quilting and textiles, while still, of course, enjoying the beauty of Bali, Java, and Indonesia.
